MDU launches new research centers focused on reproducibility and civic systems
Two new units expand our open-methods infrastructure and deepen partnerships with local public service teams.
- research
- reproducibility
- partnerships
MDU announced the launch of the Open Methods & Reproducibility Center and the Computational Civic Lab.
The units will support:
- reusable templates for research and course projects,
- governance and data minimization workflows,
- and evaluation playbooks for digital public services.
Partners will join as external reviewers for selected capstone defenses.
A governance practice for complex systems: linking rules, exceptions, review records, and change rationale into auditable chains.
A roundup of recent outputs focused on procurement-ready evaluation and benchmark design.
A half-day forum with civic and industry partners to review ongoing work and propose new collaboration tracks.
New templates help students turn course work into audited research outputs: logs, evaluation protocols, and review checklists.
